Me time!

There are so many things going on in our everyday lives that to add something new or to even think about "me time" is just not happening. How I would love to take a class, go to the gym, meditate or even go on a date with my husband. Oh boy have I played that in my head so many times. So many, I lost count!

 I can remember having to get the kids off to school, cleaning the house, work and then here comes the after school stuff. Our children loved to keep busy were in a lot of after school activities. So we where always on the go. As I sit back now and think of those times I smile and miss them. But now that those times are over what is my excuse now??? What is stopping me from "me time" ?

I have noticed at times I choose to allow myself to be preoccupied with other things. I have replaced the running around Mommy roll with other things. Yes it is ok to assist people, family and friends. It is great to be a good person. But the one thing I found out a few years ago was I have to remember me.

The best way I can help and love others is to help me first. So I decided that I would schedule time with myself to do something that would be fulfilling to me. Whether it be a yoga class, get my nails done, or something as simple as sitting and meditating.

All you need to start is even just 15 minutes. Somewhere in your schedule you should be able to find that at least. I would prefer for you to take a hour or two, but sometimes that is not possible. Just think, If you were ill you would have to find time to go to the doctors. So just try this "me time". It can't hurt!

One foot in front of the other


As we sit back and think and dream of what  we would like our life to be, it can seem to be not realistic.  We waste time telling ourselves that it isn’t possible to achieve these goals.  So many times we choose to under mind ourselves and what we can accomplish or do with our life.  Lets stop wasting time on these negative thoughts.


I hear so often people say ” I hate my job!” , ” When will things ever change for me?” .  They are just some of the many phrases I hear often, But I have a few question for you; What is it that you want?  If you dislike your job or your just doing it to pay your bills take a moment to look inside and see what kind of job would be suitable for you.
It is best to start off making a list of what you would like to have in a job. If you are not aware of what it is you want how can the universe help you. The next step is to increase yourself worth or self love.  If you continually criticize yourself  how are you suppose to put out the energy of a person who knows what they are doing and who deserves this opportunity. Start looking at what positive qualities you have. Do you know what they are?  Name 5 of them! If you would like to you can also make a list of all of your accomplishments and positive traits. Sometimes we loss touch with what we have done already. It is a nice reference material to look over now and again.
Lets take some action towards our dreams and permit ourselves to soar.  It may be a bit challenging to allow yourself to change your way of looking at things and allowing yourself to grow and prosper, but it is worth it.  You just need to start with that first step and then its just one foot in front of the other. You would be surprised how quickly things could change for you.

Introduction

Good evening!

This is all new to me. I am learning how to blog and work this site. I do have a website that I share information about myself and my practice. But, I figured it was time for me to start blogging, so that I can reach out and share information, feelings, and celebrations with you as well as lessons too. We can't forget those. I look forward to this new learning and sharing experience.
